AS A HARDWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 

  • Collaborate with Marketing to understand the needs of our customers
  • Develop hardware products through all phases of the new product introduction process
  • Work closely with the embedded software developers to verify functionality in the system
  • Keep up with technology trends in design, manufacturing, and electronic components for application in new products
  • Ensure designs meet the product functionality and certification requirements
  • Collaborate with global supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure that the product is cost effective and designed for manufacturability
  • Support hardware products throughout the lifecycle
  • Effectively communicate project status to management
WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPRIENCE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering degree and 4 years of related experience or a Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or similar technical master's degree and 3 years of related experience
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design
  • Proficiency using CAD development tools for schematic design and simulation
  • Familiarity using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with firmware development for board bring-up
  • Experience with A/D, D/A converters, thermocouple interfaces, and ethernet protocols
  • Knowledge of FPGA design
  • Experience with design and testing for compliance with industry standards
  • Experience performing failure mode effect analysis
  • Experience in common Electronics manufacturing processes
