Rosemount™ is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more.

Description
Overall Responsibility for Liquid Analytical business in North America.

Responsible for monthly sales activity reporting.

Responsible for supporting field sales activities and initiatives in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Area Product Sales Leadership. Assists in providing training to various sales channels to ensure levels of product/application expertise exist. Communicate and facilitate implementation of business unit sales strategies within a sales area. Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution. Provide direction on target accounts based on business unit segmentation strategies. Provide input on sales person product knowledge and sales performance. Support local trade show participation. Maintain and communicate knowledge of competitor, strategies, and products. Spend at least 30%+ of time traveling with sales persons and face-to-face with customers. Suggest appropriate sales and service staffing levels to implement business unit strategies. Suggest appropriate candidates for business unit partnerships. Provide pricing authority for major projects.

2. Product Line Planning. Provide feedback to divisions on products. Provide input to decisions on product competitiveness. Suggest new products and/or enhancement to existing products. Coordinate new product field testing within assigned area. Coordinate new product introductions and training.

3. Strategic Planning Input. Coordinate factory resources needed for the area. Provide input on major competitor strategies within assigned area. Identify regional market opportunities for measurement products. Contribute to market segment definition and establishment of divisional position within a segment. Communicate and support business unit strategies within area. Provide ongoing feedback on success of strategy implementation. Participates in forecasting activities and maintains responsibilities for achieving established sales goals.

4. General Business Support. Monitor pricing and discounting. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement. Ensure divisional quality plans are understood and followed. Develop and provide measures that provide information on company performance in the area.

Requirements


Must have 5-10 years experience in industry and/or instrumentation
Education: B.S. degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience: Eight (8) years of industry experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing. Liquid Analytical product and application knowledge/experience is strongly preferred.
Location: Minneapolis preferred, other cities with major airport considered
