To maintain superior customer focus, we are seeking a MECHANICAL DESIGNER to join our team. For the right candidate, this role can lead to other challenging opportunities in design and engineering in Louisville, or perhaps within the vast Emerson network of companies around the world!
- Responsible for all new and sustaining design layouts of parts, components, assemblies, and functional units
Designs mounting kits per specifications from customer
Prepares and updates instruction sheets
Develops detail part drawings and assembly drawings
Provides customer service to Emerson regarding design approval, changes, updates, PDF
Develops brake programs
Provides support to machine shop on implementing designs
Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Design/Engineering Preferred
3 - 5 year's experience in engineering environment
Autodesk Inventor and CoCreate experience preferred
Proficient math and computer skills
Proficient in AutoCAD 3-D, 2-D Design
Ability to plan and schedule own work activities
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and designs
Skilled using various measuring devices
