White-Rodgers is looking for Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to work at our Saint Louis office. We are accepting applications from candidates who are starting a career Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology and can begin Fall 2020.
As a paid co-op, you will be able to apply coursework concepts to real-world situations working alongside professional, experienced colleagues while also gaining valuable experience working for a global manufacturing and technology company.
The qualified applicant will become part of Mechanical Systems team. The selected candidate will work in various engineering functions where he/she will interact with Engineers, Labs/Techs, and Reliability engineers.
A co-op position at Emerson is a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm. It will be an experience that puts you front and center, allowing you to be hands-on and contributing your creative energy on high-impact projects.
- Performs a variety of duties in the mechanical, electromechanical areas
- Works with engineers in creating 2D/3D drawings, FEA, CFD, documentation via written or verbal instructions
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs and participates in: prototyping, testing products on flow bench, analyzing products and data, etc.
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Completion of at least three semesters of course work and completed Thermodynamics courses
- Experience in robotics or on university solar car team
- Excellent analytical skill and critical thinking

- 3.0 GPA or greater preferred
