We manufacture safety relief valves for nuclear power plants and valves for US Navy submarines and aircraft carriers.
As our Quality Assurance Specialist, you improve efficiencies for multiple departments and reduce the risks for our products prior to being delivered to the client. We depend on you to investigate, analyze, and resolve supplier quality issues while helping us to continually improve. You are dedicated to your job and support compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS). You help us live up to our reputation as a high-quality manufacturing partner.

You manage non-conformances for purchased goods and raw material suppliers from identification through disposition, preventing the shipment of nonconforming products by supporting the SCAR process. You review material certifications and test reports for accuracy and compliance to specifications. You are never satisfied! You are always helping to develop and implement better methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection. You also help ensure the proper disposal of nonconforming materials.

You are always one step ahead to ensure the timeliness of customer, supplier, and internal corrective actions. You help facilitate the customer complaint resolution process and provide support for the RMA process. You monitor projects to coordinate client or 3rd party attendance for critical inspection activities. You find your job engaging on so many levels and feel good about the part you play in our ability to support our customers with our specialized quality products.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain
  • US Citizenship required to comply with US Navy contractual requirements
  • At least one year of experience of successfully identifying root causes, developing solutions, and implementing effective countermeasures that resolve Corrective Action Plans
  • Knowledge and skills in machining, metallurgy, metal fabrication or castings a plus
  • Proficient in the use of technology including MS Office Products and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints
  • Familiarity with either ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes or military material specifications a plus
An associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
