POSITION SUMMARY: To support and facilitate the Case Management department functions focusing on data collection/entry and information system maintenance for utilization review, discharge planning and social services.
Coordinates the daily office functions to support Case Management and Social Work staff through scheduling, reception, coordination with outside agencies, accurately preparing necessary information, maintaining file systems, and assisting with all office procedures in a timely fashion.
Composes, prepares and manages all office correspondence, and hospital policies and procedures. Coordinates, and prioritizes mail and other correspondence for review. Provides prompt response to phone inquiries.
Offers assistance in assuring appropriate support of a patient's admission, discharge and follow-up. Interacts and works collaboratively with patient, family, hospital staff, outside representatives, or agencies in a customer responsive and courteous manner. Maintain compliance with hospital standards and promoting patient and customer satisfaction.
- Associate degree or equivalent education/experience in business, office administration, or related field.
- 2 years experience administrative/office experience or equivalent education/experience required; preferably in a healthcare organization.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
