Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

Planning and Development:

Participating as part of the Division of Student Affairs.
Developing program in accordance with Student Affairs goals and objectives.

Services to Students:

Conducting comprehensive counseling evaluations that include but are not limited to the assessment of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional and behavioral status.
Assessment and data collection by use of standardized evaluation techniques.
Interpreting and utilizing assessment data for the purpose of writing counseling reports and developing written intervention plans.
Counseling students individually and in groups.
Providing crisis intervention.

Service to Instructors:

Consulting with instructors and administrators regarding specific students.
Assisting in the development of instructor implemented interventions.
Assisting with university wide programs.
Providing inservice training.

Professional Development:

Attending in-service meetings and conferences to assist in the development of professional attitudes and skills.
Maintaining professional skills through reading of current literature and professional memberships.

Program Evaluation:

Participating in program evaluation.
Assisting in the design and implementation of program evaluation.

Description of Work Continued:

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

30% Counseling students individually and in groups

20% Conducting comprehensive counseling evaluations that include but are not limited to
the assessment of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional behavioral status.

20% Interpreting and utilizing assessment data for the purpose of writing counseling reports and developing written intervention plans

15% Assisting in the design and implementation of program evaluation

5% Assisting with university wide programs

5% Provide in service training and assist with university wide programs

5% Assist in the development of instructor implemented interventions

This position is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive counseling services.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

1. Master’s degree or above
2. State License in Counseling

Knowledge skills and abilities: Preferred Qualifications:

Training in accredited counseling programs;
Advanced training;
Successful experience in like position.
