The Fidelity Enterprise Cybersecurity team is looking for a DevOps engineer to join the Emerging Technology team within Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS). The ECS organization is responsible for delivering effective security solutions to ensure enterprise resources are protected in a constantly evolving cyber-threat landscape.

The Team

The mission of the Emerging Technology team is to establish a culture of innovation through research, experimentation, and collaboration to accelerate decision-making and advance adoption of new capability in support of ECS goals. We investigate state-of-the-art technology, vendors and processes to prove out security capability and help our product teams incorporate them into standard practice.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role
  • Strong systems administration expertise- Linux administration, configuration and scripting
  • Experience with deployment of multi-site applications
  • Pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing the following stack or similar
  • GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Kubernetes
  • Monitoring automation systems such as CloudWatch and Datadog or Splunk

The Value You Deliver

  • You will be directly responsible for helping the group experiment with new products as part of the emerging technology evaluations and MVPs
  • Expect to be involved in development of deployment automation for new vendor and custom products, understanding how current ECS systems work, troubleshooting, writing test applications as well as unit and performance tests – a very exciting mix of tasks that will keep you constantly learning
  • One of our critical tasks is “getting the word out” around new technology – and you'll be asked to help the team in putting together demos of the solutions we've worked on, documenting the setup, presenting to product teams and other groups, and even recording videos to explain the solution and show how it works
  • Collaborating in an autonomous team, owning all aspects of delivery
  • Team player developing/deploying software in a fast-paced and highly flexible environment
  • Working with global Agile teams and will contribute to enhancing engineering practices
  • Forever learning and growing your skillsets to be an active contributor to a well-rounded team
