Job Summary

Flex has fast-paced design centers servicing global customers in the automotive sector. We offer full product development including overall system architecture development, hardware and mechanical design and software development. We have ISO certified environmental and EMC labs as well as full factory test system design and build capabilities.

Acting as a trusted design partner to our customers, we work on multiple medium-to-large scale projects and collaborate on a global scale with other Flex locations to ensure we provide the best customer experience possible.


Job Summary :

The Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer will be based remotely the US or some Canada provinces with work hours in EST or CST.

As our Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer you will be responsible for cybersecurity activities, methods, and processes for products being developed by the global engineering team.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and negotiate the Cybersecurity Interface Agreements with customers and suppliers

  • Provide technical guidance to project teams to develop the item definition, cybersecurity goals, cybersecurity concept, and for the cybersecurity product development

  • Lead and coordinate Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) methodologies and activities

  • Prepare and maintain cybersecurity incident response plan and coordinate with all necessary stakeholders

  • Identify and collect sources of cybersecurity information to ensure organization is prepared to address state-of-the-art attack methods

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate cybersecurity events and support management of identified vulnerabilities including post-development phase

  • Support cybersecurity process development activities to fulfill regulatory, customer, and internal requirements

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields

  • 5 years or more experience in software development

  • Hands-on experience in software development of products in the automotive industry

  • Experience with OEM cybersecurity requirements in the automotive industry

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Master's Degree

  • Excellent English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills needed to effectively work with internal and external customers

  • Experience with microcontrollers and security modules and techniques

  • Certification and training in ISO 21434 - Cybersecurity engineering

Pay Range (Applicable to US Remote). Due to this role being remote, the actual pay range will vary depending on the geographical location of the candidate $128,000.00 USD - $176,000.00 USD Annual Job Category Design, Process & Technology EngineeringRelocation: Not eligible
