Job Summary

Our Sr Manager, Technical Program Management will be located in Austin TX and will lead cross functional team for for design lead opportunity with key Cloud customers.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do…

  • Manage customer relationship on a Global basis and will act as the first escalation point globally for all product programs, projects and operational performance issues.
  • Ensure collaborative cross-functional teamwork to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control all phases of the customer programs from RFQ through development, NPI, and ramp to stable production.
  • Ensure effective two-way communications between Customer and Flex design & manufacturing sites.
  • Provide the necessary leadership and support to site Program & Project Managers (design, NPI, operations, supply chain, etc.) to ensure programs are executed to plans and customer issues are handled properly.
  • Together with Global Account Manager, drive account strategy for future business growth and continuous improvement in account financial performance.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with the customer.
  • Ensure all programs and project teams adhere to the Flex Product Life Cycle Process (FPLC) process.
  • Travel to Flex Factories as by the program and customer.
  • Be responsive to customer requests and ensure high Customer Satisfaction. Ensure effective and timely corrective action of any performance and customer service related issues.

Here is some of what you'll need (required)…

  • 10+ years' experience in a Program/Project Management or leadership role.
  • Engineering degree required.
  • Previous experience working within the Server, Storage, Networking or Wireless domain.
  • Program management experience on ODM or JDM programs, including deep experience working with design centers.
  • Strong customer and PM experience with Tier 1 OEMs.
  • Good knowledge on PCBA design process and work with design cross functional team (EE/PWR, ME, Layout, SI, BIOS/BMC and product validation) to meet design quality and schedule.
  • Comprehensive understanding on Rack Integration engineering operation, especially manufacturing test development and implementation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NPI to supply chain to manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization, both at customer & Flex.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail. Ability to dig deep into issues when needed.
  • Experience managing commercial issues (price, contract terms, cost recovery claims, etc.)

  • Both OEM and EMS company experience.
  • Experience working with Asia and across time zones / regions.
  • Background in Hardware development including board design, microprocessors, firmware development, server/PC design.
