Position Summary:

Responsible for provisioning, installing, and the monitoring of PC and server based security software systems utilized by the company. Participates in researching security issues / anomalies and performs remediation as appropriate. Assists in security planning and system design, complex problem resolution and in the development and documentation of procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security systems for alerts/issues. Resolve and/or escalate open items to the supervisor as needed.
  • Coordinate monthly meetings with external security providers.
  • Support daily security operations; this includes evaluation of system use, monitoring response time and serving as primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
  • Support installation of client and server security software including patching and image development.
  • Assist in research, design, technical review, and implementation for collaboration and security offerings such as PAAS and SAAS systems 
  • Troubleshooting or assists other users with troubleshooting the technical problems associated with security services 
  • Work after hours as necessary to minimize business interruptions (system outages, troubleshooting, system upgrades, etc.) and provide non-business hours support. (both remote and onsite)
  • Provide help desk support, and properly escalate unresolved security related inquiries to the next level of support or appropriate vendors.
  • Assists management in the control, establishment, and enforcement of security for network and infrastructure technology, desktops, and end-users.
  • Document internal procedures consistent with policy requirements.
  • Maintain working relationships with IT cloud partners to support current and future business needs.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Strong knowledge of leading security information and event management tools
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services
  • Ability to analyze complex technical needs, build project plans and oversee implementation with user impact and systems availability as top priorities
  • Understanding of Active Directory & domain architecture, DHCP, DNS, file and print server functions

Position Qualifications:

Education:

HS diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area preferred

Experience: 

3+ years of collaborative system support experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

May lift up to 20 lbs.
