Position Responsibilities:

Sr. Manager of Finance & Accounting plays a fundamental, hands on role in managing the accounting and financial activities in the business along with working with business leaders and auditors. They are responsible for overseeing and supporting all accounting and finance related activity including the preparation of financial statements and analysis, preparation of budgets and forecasts and variance analysis of actual performance results, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and ensuring the establishment and administration of adequate internal controls within the organization. The Sr. Manager of Finance & Accounting is also responsible for helping to drive profitable decision making and maximizing return on assets by preparing and analyzing financial data along with operational metrics and then presenting findings from those efforts with various leaders within the business. This position is the right hand to the head of Finance and Accounting for Tuscany with the end goal of becoming the successor of the Director of Accounting & Admin by 2022.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:


Serve as the right hand and front-line support for the Director of Accounting & Admin with focus on:
• Ensuring all daily accounting transactional activities are completed accurately and on time
• Meeting internal control requirements or define enhancements as needed
• Assisting in the management of accounting and finance team employees
• Overseeing Cost Accounting, Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash, Fixed Assets and General Ledger
• Preparing and submitting internal financial reports
• Ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close process
• Monitoring all general ledger accounts and review account reconciliations
• Providing support for quarterly inventory adjustments and physical inventory processes
• Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
• Protecting assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
• Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors
• Preparing budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
• Achieving budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
• Preparing special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions
• Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Protecting operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Coordinating and preparing internal data for external financial statements
• Coordinating activities of external auditors

 

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 7-10+ years of experience, preferably at a manufacturing company in the automotive Industry
• Experience to include general understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management
• Self-motivated with proven track record showing the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight
• Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications and accounting software
• Strong analytical/critical thinking

Preferred Experience:

• CPA strongly preferred
• 3+ years in a similar role to Plant Controller/ Site Financial Lead
• Oracle R12and Hyperion Financial systems experience preferred
• The ideal candidate will be successful working in a high-pace environment and be able take on new projects and challenges as they arise
