Position Summary: The Senior Guard (SRG) is responsible for overseeing smaller groups of the guard force and/or specific sectors of the guard force program 


Essential Functions:   

  • Supervise designated sector/guard force section
  • Oversee physical security, access control and force protection
  • Take direction from the Diplomatic Security Agent in Charge    


Non-Essential Functions:   

  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the customer/client

Minimum Qualifications:   

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen   
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance   
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of military, law enforcement, or armed commercial guard force supervisory experience   
    • A minimum of three (3) years of this experience must be at the NCO or civilian equivalent level    
  • Obtain and maintain weapons qualifications   
  • Experience must include physical security, access control, and force protection
  • Must successfully pass all required courses specified by the client

  • Demonstrate effective communications skills including strong written and oral presentation skills   
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills   
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment   
  • Ability and willingness to work in hostile and conflict environment   
  • Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility   
  • Ability to maintain effective communications with individuals and agencies from diverse cultures and backgrounds including U.S. Government, host nation government and law enforcement   
  • Maintain effective professional relationships with employees and outside individuals and agencies   
  • Ability to understand and successfully handle various operational issues    


Physical Demands: The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
