Sr Director, Marketing Communications - Wayne, NJ

 

The Marketing Communications Director for North Americas will build a 360 approach to the customers in North Americas by developing global communication initiatives that will increase lead generation based on Sales and BAs input.  The incumbent will develop and implement the content strategy to position Getinge in all of its relevant target groups in CSSD, OR, ICU, Life Science in the North Americas region, and drive marketing value communications based on brand identity guidelines, tools and platform.  In addition, the Director will ensure adaptation / localization of the global marketing communication messages and internal training initiatives to the North Americas' market needs, monitor, control effectiveness and efficiency of marketing communications, messages, and ensure continuous improvement.

 

Job Function:

  • Strategic partner for North Americas Senior Management team to develop marketing campaigns and drive initiatives for the Region
  • Change Management of Marketing Communication to develop team to become a strong proactive partner in developing campaigns in line with the Global Sales imperatives
  • Proactively support the North Americas Sales teams with Marketing Communications activities to drive sales activities
  • Ensure the needs assessment and coordination of regional training delivery of product training, softskills training and new-employee-onboarding in close collaboration with business leadership and the Academy Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Trainers.
  • Ownership of regional marketing communication launch plan for brand communication(s), product launches and product life cycle activities working as a functional project based organization
  • Create regional content to drive value marketing communication based on the product value proposition
  • Discover highly valuable content in close collaboration with the global content counterparts and subject matter experts and derive marketing claims, messages and visualization
  • Develop, manage, optimize appropriate content for websites, landing pages and social media including contribution to the editorial plan
  • Develop field marketing activities (ad placements, email campaign, sales support activities) by connecting to global content needs
  • Define measurements and control progress (including contingency planning and metrics)
  • Ensure implementation of messages according to red-amber-green (RAG) indicators with the high degree on modularity
  • Define target group, communication objectives and detail target markets by working collaboratively with North Americas Sales
  • Drive content maintenance of existing marketing communication elements according to relevance (e.g. Website)
  • Secure input for internal engagement activities in collaboration with Corporate Communications (Intranet posts)
  • Responsibility to plan, execute, control local events and congresses based on global guidelines Budget and KPIs
  • Budget responsibility for North Americas Marketing Communications
  • KPI responsibility per activity for ROI and purchase funnel (Reach | Engagement | Marketing qualified leads | Lead generation)
  • People Management
  • Lead North Americas Marketing Communications and ensure team and cross functional collaboration

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong management skills to empower team members and internal stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills to create the setup of an effective supplier landscape within Marketing Communications for North Americas
  • Curiosity to learn and understand customer needs, and to develop marketing activities that facilitate lead generation
  • Experience or knowledge of the hospital or life science industry and clinical processes
  • Up-to-date, integrative marketing, advertising and communication knowledge (incl. digital) on an international scope
  • Creative and strong business driven mindset with a great ability to develop effective storytelling
  • Ability to drive projects with high sense of urgency and effectiveness
  • A stylistic ability with a good sense for look and feel and tonality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
  • Capable to manage a defined set of marketing communication agencies with based on brand handbooks & guidelines
  • Solid experience from working with various Office-programs and Content Management Systems

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Strong experience from working close to the market and proactively supporting a regional sales team
  • Proven Marketing background (minimum of 10 years) in marketing communication and academic degree or equivalent within the area of business or marketing
  • Knowledge and/or experience from the healthcare industry in the Marketing Communications
  • Knowledge and/or experience of change management within the area of Marketing Communications
  • People management experience - lead, motivate and manage a marketing team (minimum 5 years)
  • Excellent in English, both written and spoken
  • Responsible for the development and management of personnel and programs in the North Americas Marketing Communications team.
