Accounts Receivable - Customer Representative

Position Summary

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Accounts Receivable – Customer Representative is responsible for inbound calls regarding customer accounts and invoices related to Nutrition Software that manages USDA federally funded child nutrition programs. This position will also perform accounts receivable research and collections. Representatives may also be asked to perform other billing functions related to customer service and the aging balance.

Job Details:

Position Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound calls and work with customers to analyze and resolve billing inquiries
  • Review the accuracy of invoices and submit correction requests as needed.
  • Manage unresolved or open problem tickets to successful completion.
  • Follow established processes and policies relating to billing and invoicing.
  • Escalate high severity cases to the Accounts Receivable Manager
  • Manage quote submissions for invoices and assist customers with accurate completion.
  • Make outbound calls to customers to inquire about past due invoices.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as required.
  • Work on various project work while prioritizing regular day to day responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or relevant Bachelor's Degree, a plus
  • Proficient in Google Suite Products, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of USDA federally funded child nutrition programs, a plus
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced corporate culture.
  • Ability to engage customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to deconstruct issues, take initiative and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively with great attention to detail
