Progressive Care Unit ( Neuro Step- Down PCU) - This unit is designed for our patients with neurological conditions such as TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), syncope, seizures, post neurological surgeries, and complex spine injuries/surgeries that require progressive levels of care. Patients on this unit can be monitored via telemetry. This technology allows our specially trained technicians to continuously assess heart rate and rhythm at a central location while keeping nurses and doctors informed of the patient's status.
The Neuro Step Down Nurse reports directly to the unit Clinical Manager, and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in accordance with physicians' orders, established policies and procedures, established professional standards, and administrative hospital-wide policies.
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

- FL RN license and/or approved multistate license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications thru American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification is a plus
- 1-3 years experience in hospital setting
- Neuro Step Down experience strongly preferred.
