Job Summary

The Enterprise Endpoint Services – Senior Endpoint Security Engineer at HCA is responsible for delivering a secure endpoint configuration and supporting Information Protection initiatives over the 300,000+ endpoints managed. This position requires daily administration and configuration of security tools used to harden and secure our endpoints. This position also requires working proactively to strengthen our security posture in concert with our security stakeholders as well as working reactively to address endpoint security with our field stakeholders.

This person must be a positive, self-starter able to work independently while completing project tasks and enterprise activities in support of Endpoint Security. They must possess an advanced ability to troubleshoot and dissect complex problems with strong communication skills that enable connection with all customer levels while collaboratively working across applicable IT&S Communities within the HCA Enterprise.

Job duties include but not limited to:

• Provide endpoint security orchestration to deliver endpoint security controls across enterprise.
• Provide administration and support over the HCA Endpoint Protection Platform & Threat Detection & Forensics System.
• Provide administration and support over the HCA Advanced Endpoint Protection Platform.
• Contribute to security policy, standards, and guidelines related to endpoint security.
• Discover, Test and Coordinate the implementation of security setting standards via SCCM, GPO's and other security tools.
• Security and problem resolution for required support tiers.
• Utilize custom test environments to perform proof of concept implementations before deploying into production.
• Validate and report on endpoint security compliance for the HCA Enterprise.
• Create technical documentation to support endpoint security solutions.
• Develop and review FAQ/KB articles to provide comprehensive content covering Endpoint Security topics.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions for securing the endpoint.
• Contribute to Endpoint Services Dashboard content via Splunk or other data analytics engine to provide business intelligence on the endpoint environment.
• Coordinates sharing of best practices and policies and procedures.
• Participates in activities which improve departmental and organizational performance.
• Adheres to and supports HCA ITG standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of patient care.
• Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in related subjects preferred. Relevant work experience may substitute education requirement.

Experience:

• 3 or more years or related experience is preferred.
• 1 or more years of experience working in an information security related role over endpoints in an enterprise environment is required.
• Working knowledge experience with Endpoint Protection Platforms; preferably with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Advanced understanding of effective security controls over Windows endpoints preferred.
• Advanced understanding of agent client software impact on current Windows Workstation OS preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge Windows Group Policy and Windows Registry for configuration of endpoint standards preferred.
• Working knowledge experience Splunk and/or other big data visualization tools preferred.
• Scripting Automation experience and knowledge preferred with Microsoft PowerShell knowledge being highly desired.
• Advanced knowledge of Systems Center Configuration Manager or comparable systems management system preferred.

Additional Information:

• Completion of Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals or equivalent knowledge.
• Must live in the Greater Nashville area or willing to relocate to area.
• This is a hybrid role with Tuesday and Wednesday being the only in office days.
