In this role you will:
Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Director of Medical Staff Services, the Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for performing and facilitating medical staff administrative functions. Coordinates, facilitates and documents medical staff meetings and functions. Coordinates special projects as required such as hospital ER call schedules, revision of core privileges, establishment of new privileges, surveying physicians as needed to comply with The Joint Commission, as well as other regulatory agency mandates. Serves as authority on Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, issues and/or questions and provides changes to those documents as necessary. Provides ongoing assistance and maintenance of databases for initial appointment, reappointment and progression activities.Qualifications:
- Three (3) years' experience in hospital Medical Staff Office
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Certification desirable
