Change Management Advisor

Department: Project Management Office

Position Number: Multiple Positions

Hours of Work: Day Shift, Regular Full-Time Positions

Salary: Class 06 - $40.64-$48.77

Union: Non-Union

Location: Kingston General Hospital Site

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Change Management Advisor is responsible for leading and coordinating work related to the change management, communications and stakeholder engagement of various projects supporting corporate strategy and annual corporate plans. The Change Management Advisor will be required to collaborate closely with other members of the project team, project sponsors, PMO Team, leaders from IT departments and clinical business units, and senior leadership.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE:
 

    Change Management Strategies

  • Develops and supports the execution of change management strategies required for organizational projects and initiatives;
  • Manages stakeholders and clients through internal consultation processes to define change management requirements, consult throughout project lifecycle, discuss and resolve issues and report on progress;
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation and presentations to project sponsors and senior executives.


      Communications Strategies

  • Develops and supports the execution of communication strategies required for organizational projects and initiatives;
  • Manages stakeholders and clients through internal consultation processes to define communication requirements, consult throughout project lifecycle, discuss and resolve issues and report on progress;
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation and presentations to project sponsors and senior executives


       Risk / Issue Management

  • Anticipates and troubleshoots issues, provides ongoing expertise, resolves problems, and improves project effectiveness;
  • Identifies and assesses risks, and recommends mitigation measures for approval by project sponsorship;
  • Exercises risk management by providing recommendations based on an evaluation of risk and an understanding of business implications of risk.

    Organizational Leadership in Change Management
  • Participate in development of Change Management materials, templates, training and communication for organization;
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and education to other organizational with regards to change management methodologies and best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 4 year university degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Change Project Management Professional Certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive change management experience
  • Experience creating change management plans, communication plans, business requirements and associate change management materials.
  • Experience working in a distributed environment with multiple decision makers.
  • Must possess strong change management and leadership skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • General understanding of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), preferred
  • General understanding of project lifecycles within the project management discipline.
  • Knowledge of system life cycle management concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate and maintain information systems.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
