Variable 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Job SummaryPerform basic care and assist patients served in meeting their needs in performing activities of daily living. Perform routine duties following clearly prescribed standard practices involving readily understood rules and procedures.
• Monitor patients' behavior and location in a mental healthcare facility 20% • Help patients with their daily living activities, such as bathing , showering or dressing 25% • Serve meals and help patients eat and complete menu 5% • Obtain vital signs 5% • Keep facilities clean by doing tasks such as providing bed linens and encouraging patient to make bed and clean room. Change linens for patient when necessary 30% • Participate in group activities, such as playing sports, board games, conversation, etc 5% • Help transport patients within a hospital 5% • Restrain patients who may become physically violent 5% • Perform other duties as assigned. • Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. • Abilities: Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, various locations, sometimes on short notice.
• Environmental Conditions: Potential exposure to fumes, dust, gases, and odors. Frequent changes in temperature may occur. Possibility of exposure to communicable diseases.
