Description
We are seeking an experienced oncology pharmacist to provide the best possible medication management for our oncology inpatients.
This is a decentralized position; you will be integrated with the unit-based interdisciplinary care team and work collaboratively with them.
Our inpatient Oncology unit comprises 72 large, private patient rooms and will be staffed by Pharmacists 7 days per week.
You will be partnered with another Oncology Pharmacist. The pharmacists work 10 hour shifts and cover every other weekend.
This schedule allows for an overlap day for research, protocol development, teaching, and other non-direct patient care activities.
Pharmacists are responsible for the direct supervision of technical support personnel trained for and dedicated to the Oncology unit.
We have a robust, ASHP accredited Pharmacy Residency program, an outpatient cancer center with its own dedicated pharmacy and a Specialty Pharmacy operation
Gulf Coast Medical Center is part of Lee Health, a large not-for-profit healthcare system located in Lee County Florida.
Our large footprint in the community includes ambulatory, acute care, diagnostics, OP surgery and other vital services.
