Under the general direction of Director, IS Clinical Services participates in the analysis, design, testing, documentation, implementation, support and auditing of comprehensive Hospital Information Systems and electronic health records (EHR). Assists in evaluation, analysis, maintenance and development of system functionality to meet clinical objectives including participating in project plan development/tracking and workflow analysis. Coordinates resolution of system process or performance issues interacting with functional users, internal and external technology resources. Serves as a liaison between the clinical users and the application team as well as assisting with education and training deployment. ¿ Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or other related clinical field plus 2 years experience in healthcare environment. OR Associates Degree in a clinical field or certification in clinical practice such as Pharmacy Tech, LPN, Lab Tech, Radiological Tech, Surgical Tech, etc. plus 4 years healthcare experience OR 5 years experience directly involved with an EHR implementation and support. Includes a minimum of 2 years demonstrated proficiency utilizing electronic healthcare software in a medium to large organization required. Would be considered a ¿super user¿ in the clinical area. Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Proficient in computers, use of clinical information systems, and Microsoft Office solutions. Strong experience in use of clinical information systems that affect patient care. Strong interpersonal skills and high degree of professionalism. Must be willing to obtain certification in Health IT Workforce Training (HIT) program within 6 months of position or demonstrates compatible competencies. Must be willing to obtain certification in EHR training specific to Lexington Medical Center. Presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
