Basic Function: This is a hands on, fast paced position. The RSA is responsible for patient meal service and satisfaction. This position deals with patients and guests so it is customer service oriented. The RSA is also responsible for assisting in aspects of patient food preparation, such as cutting cakes, tray assembly, tray delivery, and nourishment services. This position also assists in all aspects of clean-up and sanitation in the Nutrition Services Department to include patient service, cafeteria service, and general clean-up.
Follows recipes to prepare all food items necessary for patients, cafeteria, Child Development Center, and catered functions in a timely fashion.
Qualifications: 1. Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions. 2. Two (2) years' experience in hospital or institutional cooking in large quantities preferred. 3. Requires three (3) to six (6) months O.J.T. to become proficient in hospital operations. 4. Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
Entry level pay starts at $11.00 without experience.
