Shared Services: Finance - (Full-time, Day Shift) -

The Manager-Finance Continuous Improvement, acting as an internal consultant across Finance and business operations, is responsible for directing, driving and managing process improvement initiatives. They will collaboratively partner with functional leaders to understand and assess current state, then co-develop and co-implement new or refined processes that lift the operational control environment, move from lower to higher value added activities, and drive operational efficiency. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required. Master's Degree in business administration, accounting, healthcare or related field preferred. Minimum eight years of experience in accounting, finance, financial planning and analysis or financial reporting required. Minimum four years of experience in key leadership/supervisory roles within the higher education or healthcare environment preferred. Valid Driver' License required at time of hire.
Experience leading large, complex and cross functional projects preferred. Strong knowledge of financial workflow processes and best practices specific to higher education and healthcare. Able to influence without authority at all levels of the organization. Able to collaboratively solve complex problems. Able to lead several parallel assignments. Strong organization and planning skills. Able to analysis large amounts of complex data. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and mange change effectively. Flexible and adaptive. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.Additional Information
