HR Compliance Sr Analyst

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure HR compliance (federal, state and local) is met and adhered-to in all the various locations for Lowe's (e.g. Stores, distribution centers, corporate support centers, etc.). This includes responsibility for monitoring changes in business environment and legislation/regulatory standards that may affect HR policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance. This role will support the execution of any type of HR audit. This role must apply knowledge of employment and labor laws, government regulations, and agency rules in order to provide input into investigation and case decisions. Additionally, this role would help with standardization of compliance reports, process and procedures including accommodations and AA/ EEO/ ADA. Lastly, this role supports Field HR will any training materials related to compliance and governance for ER/ LR and support managers with accommodation requests.

RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS

Proactively monitors changes in business environment and legislation/regulatory standards that may affect HR policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance

Supports and performs analysis to ensure compliance is being met across the various locations and jurisdictions (federal, state, local).

With guidance from the HR Compliance Manager, drive AA / EEO / ADA compliance for all locations.

Directs internal audits, identifies gaps, and makes recommendations that include all areas of HR functions that impact EEO and Affirmative Action.

Conducts interactive process for religious accommodations.

Partners with leaders of people and HRBPs to support and opine on workplace accommodations.

Identifies trends and recommends improvements regarding organizational compliance standards.

Monitors location audit processes to ensure locations are consistently, accurately, and timely managing HR compliance obligations.

Drives compliance around consent decrees.

Responsible for EEO employment postings across all organizations by partnering with location management.

Collaborates with HR Policy & Process Analyst to ensure policies and processes adhere to regulatory standards

Directs internal HR compliance investigations

Maintains and expand knowledge of existing and proposed federal, state and local laws. Develop and implement actions to ensure compliance.

Manages or participate on special projects/programs requiring compliance stakeholder input. - All other responsibilities as assigned.

Partners with the HR operations team to design and develop functional reports and metrics. Review and analyze information to drive performance, identify trends, and develop/implement functional improvements, escalating issues and proposed solutions as appropriate

Partners with Legal for EEOC reporting and Affirmative Action plan cycle by analyzing and interpreting data.

Resolves escalated workplace accommodation cases. Partners with Legal, when necessary, to ensure particularly specialized, difficult, or sensitive matters are resolved in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, Labor Relations or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, Employee Relations or a related role conducting complaint investigations related to Federal, State, Local employment and labor laws for multi-site organization
  • 3+ year of advanced knowledge of workplace complaint investigations, union avoidance, employee advocacy and EEO compliance
  • 3+ years of direct experience gathering, researching, analyzing and resolving complex employee relations issues (including conduct, performance, and policy violations)
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree in MBA, Human Resources, or Labor Relations
  • JD with a concentration or experience in employment/labor law
