The Role

Responsible for managing business development activities and generating sales with named accounts and/or specific market segment(s) and/or new logos that lead to the expansion & growth of revenue of the assigned account module. Accountable for the coordination and execution of the sales strategy in close cooperation with the Customer Success organisation.

The Main Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to generate new business within an account module which have existing revenue streams with Lumen by identifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities. Identifies and develops new sales opportunities, provides product solutions, and maintains positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company.

 

  Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers headquartered in the region by strategic positioning with decision makers, enabled by networking, customer appointments,  premise visits, cold calling, lead generation and proposal submission.

 

  Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes to maximize revenue. Take ownership of the vertical/territory designated by management.

 

  Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure over-achievement. Utilizing Salesforce.com to develop and maintain accurate sales and/or revenue forecasts and management of quota funnels.

 

  Continually learn and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points including enhancing expertise in the company's products and solutions.

 

  Manage the end to end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources such as Sales Engineers, Technology Evangelists, Professional Services, Executives, Partners etc.

 

  Generate short term results whilst maintaining a long term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Extensive experience in selling enterprise class telecommunications, IT/Cloud and/or security products and services gained within an International environment.

Up to date and relevant industry vertical experience

Successful history of direct new business sales (hunting, prospecting and new account development) and/or big deal development, with the ability to prove consistent delivery against targets.

Demonstrable track record of sales over achievement.

Credibility at all levels and evidence of building strong relationships internally and with the customer including CxO level.

Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
