Overview
The Arcus team is looking for a Principal Network Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
This role will work side by side with Product as well as Technical teams to lead solution architecture design, based on best practices, of next generation payments platforms supporting core business services offered by the company.

In this technical position, you will:

• Drives the design and optimization of Arcus' infrastructure supporting critcal business platforms, gathering requirements in order to design corresponding infrastructure architechture to meet them.
• Partner with Software engineering teams to ensure fit of software and most efficient usage of the infrastructure.
• Evaluates infrastructure performance to identify areas of concern or weakness and designs strategies to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Mentors and coaches staff by providing training to develop technical skills and capabilities across the organization.
• Provides support to help resolve complex issues of diverse scopes in a timely manner.

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Advanced knowledge of every of the infrastructure stack, including operating systems, networking, virtualization, storage, backups, etc.
• Strong experience designing architectures on-premise, in a private cloud mode as well as hybrid integrations, with redundancy and high availability.
• Extensive experience designing efficient solution architectures for systems having high transactions volume as well as high concurrency in online mode.
• Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify areas where resources fall short of needs and provide thoughtful and sustainable solutions to benefit the team
• Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Desirable experience and knowledge in payments industry, ideally in SPEI domain.
