Software Engineer IIOverview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

This is a rare opportunity to put your signature on how Mastercard process real-time transactions. We need you to help take our system to next level working closely with real-time transaction processing and software engineering team on new products. We do not expect you to be a bank card payment expert but guarantee within the first 6 months you will be. You will be working with the best engineers to help them build the products we all want.

Our current technology stacks are diverse and evolving combinations of global and local, closed, and open-source technologies. We are not looking for a solution for now; we are looking for the best solution for tomorrow. We are an ambitious team that takes smart risks and challenges everything.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Work as part of a development Scrum team in an Agile environment
• Responsible for the requirement analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions
• Develop, customize, and test applications to integrate to Mastercard's specifications
• Help mentor and guide other team members during all phases of the SDLC.
• Troubleshooting, and participate in urgent incident handling

All About You:
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• 2 more years Software Engineer experiences in backend system
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Solid experience with Java programming, experience with Go/Python is a good plus
• Solid experience with real-time transaction processing system
• Solid experience with cloud native system and microservices architecture
• Experience with ISO 8583/20022 message processing is a good plus
• Deep understanding of virtualization and Linux containers
• Solid experience with RDBMS, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite
• Solid experience with NoSQL databases, such as Redis, RocksDB, etc.
• Solid experience with TCP, HTTP and gRPC communication protocols
• Solid experience with KVM virtualization, and docker, experience with Kubernetes is a good plus
• Experience with common Linux system, such as RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux and Ubuntu
• Experience with payment industry is a good plus
• Good communication skills in written and spoken English
