Do you have the career opportunities you want in your current role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the nation's largest provider of healthcare services as a Advance Care Technician.

The Advance Care Technician will be able to provide quality care to patients under the direction of the Medical Director in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Medical City Healthcare. Reports to the charge nurse for shift assignments and direction of shift duties assigned. Each RN decides on a case-by-case basis what nursing tasks may be delegated to the unlicensed personnel in accordance with Rule 224 (relating to RN delegation in acute care settings or for patients with acute conditions).

 

 

 

Medical City North Hills is an 160 bed acute care facility that serves the growing population of Northeast Tarrant County. In addition to specialty care in Cardiovascular and Women's Services, Medical City North Hills provides adult and pediatric outpatient surgery, and is also home to Texas' first children's outpatient surgery center.

Qualifications

Experience   (Minimum amount of specifically related experience which is required to perform the role at this level. Note in Other additional specific exp.)    ☐   Less than 1 year ☒   1-3 years ☐   3-7 years ☐   More than 7 years ☒   Other preferred/required experience: One year of  9-1-1 System or Hospital ED Experience required EDUCATION   (Minimum formal academic training which typically provides the knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance. Note in Other if experience may be substituted.)  ☒   High School Graduate/Equivalent ☐   College Graduate Preferred ☐   College Graduate Required Undergrad ☐   College Graduate Required Graduate ☐   College Graduate Required Other   ☒   Technical Training
  • ☒   Paramedic Certification or Licensed Paramedic
    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS  (Required licenses, certificates, specific skills, personal traits, e.g., RN, CPA, able to type 90 wpm, detail orientation.)
  • Current Texas Department of State Health Services Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic/Licensed Paramedic
  • BCLS as per SDH Licensure and Certification Policy.
  • ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
