Identifies the needs of all departments regarding Infection Prevention issues. Develops both policies and guidelines to meet these needs. Develops and implements educational programs to meet the needs of all departments regarding infection prevention issues. Acts as an Infection Prevention resource person for the Medical Center, functions in an advisory capacity to all personnel on infection control issues, including isolation, policy and procedure development, infectious disease exposure, and educational needs. Compiles infection control data and develops new methods of documentation and expansion of current program. Analyzes infection prevention data and assists in outbreak investigations. Assists other members of the Infection Prevention department in carrying out their duties as needed. Lead, participate, or support clinical infection prevention process improvement initiatives.Qualifications:

- Licensure: Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri or a non-RN with bachelor's degree in healthcare related field and certification in Infection Control.
- Experience: Two years experience in Infection Control or three years of clinical experience required.Certifications:
- Certification in Infection Control required upon hire or be obtained within 2 years of hire
- Preferred Education: RN - Bachelor's degree preferred. Non-RN - Bachelor's degree required
