Overview
Primary Function Provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of the company's voice and data network services. Evaluates business requirements to develop and implement solutions. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Performs traffic study analysis to determine best configuration of systems Manages infrastructure related to voice and data networks including related hardware and software to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing network and development and implementation of network enhancements All positions in this job family participate, to some degree, in the following activities:

  • Production Support – administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, enhancing and providing advanced customer support for the existing voice / data network system
  • Deployment / Implementation – planning and executing network designs. configurations or enhancements to existing voice and data network services
  • Design – researching, recommending and designing new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing voice and data networks; providing consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the network environment

Qualifications:

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
Experience: Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience Experience overseeing project teams and/or work processes
