Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs delegated tasks as appropriate in
the care of patients. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with others in
communication and problem resolution; is sensitive to the needs of patients, families, and fellow
co-workers; provides nursing care for patients in accordance with age specific needs; plan and
provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with any identified cultural diversity
needs (such as religions, lifestyles, beliefs, physical capabilities, and cultures); provides nursing
care for patients by assuring appropriate and effective pain management; assess, report and
assist any patients that present with evidence of abuse and/or neglect; and supports the
mission of Mercy. Co-workers are expected to abide by Mercy safety and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and co-workers.
