Overview:

The Wound Care Nurse works under the supervision of a Supervisor and/or Director, and is responsible for activities that result in a multidisciplinary approach to the total patient care in the wound healing center, including care protocols as outlines by wound healing center policies, and the delivery of acute and chronic wound care. The Wound Care Nurse may be required to provide various educational activities to various departments, including infection control, asceptic technique, wound care product categories and application and preventative care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
  Licensure: RN Registered Nurse MO
• Experience: Less than 1 year.
• Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support Within 3 Months Of Hire
• Other: Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are required, and the Wound Care Nurse must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, telephone, printer and copy machine.
