Description

The Project Manager will provide leadership and engineering technical guidance for complex Aviation design projects and will be responsible for managing a large variety of projects acting as lead for prime and sub consultant work with full autonomy. In summary you will be accountable for client and sub-consultant management, project scope development, design documentation, production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, financial management, marketing assistance, project quality control and delivery.
Core responsibilities and requirements are:

    • Manage mid to large size projects and programs; minimum of 3 aviation projects
    • Foster and sustain partner relationships.
    • Design to client and regulatory requirements
    • Manage teams or other discipline resources to quality, schedule and budget requirements
    • Shop drawing review and disposition
    • Prepare project documents and reports
    • Maintain project files
    • Create and enforce project quality plan
    • Review an complete data and document entry into various platforms
    • Report safety, health and quality issues to management
    • Coordinate with our Legal team to prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation
    • Assist management as directed or needed
    • Occasional CAD and CADD to review and/or complete
What we require:
    • Experience leading aviation projects
    • An engineering degree in either Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering
    • 10 years of relevant experience
    • Highly advantegous is a P.E license
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites as well as ACAD or Micro-Station
    • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
    • Knowledge of CPM schedule analysis
    • Familiar with discipline specific design software and design management systems
    • Memberships and active participation in Aviation specific professional organizations such as  AAAE
    • Certifications in LEED, Value Engineering, or similar certifications
