Staff Matters, LLC a subsidiary of NSC Technologies has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst in Tucson, Arizona.

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Salary:  75-90k per year -

M-F - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

General Summary: Under general supervision, responsible for conducting and documenting complex analysis of financial and statistical information in an integrated health care environment. Prepares analytical reports pertaining to the agency's finances and budget. The position requires the application of accounting principles, advanced analytical and interpersonal communication skills.

 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans and prepares the annual budget. Responsibilities include 1) collect and compile multiple program and clinic financial trending data for annual budget compilation, 2) forecast revenue and expense detail, 3) development of financial metrics for new programs/cost centers, 4) development and maintenance of complex allocation models, 5) assist with capital budget, 6) prepare final consolidation over multiple cost centers and entities.

• Plays a key role in determining monthly revenue recognition within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) System and provides analysis on monthly revenue variances: to budget/month over month/year over year.

• Accounts Receivable Analysis and monthly reporting to determine reasons for claims aging and to develop potential resolutions and collection scenarios. Disseminates the information to the appropriate parties to improve claims filing and collections processes.

• Assists with annual audit process, accounts receivable analysis, claims payment lag report, AR adjustments, cash confirmations, sample claim analysis.

• Ensures that all contract bill rates are current in EHR System, working in conjunction with Claims Team, Credentialing/Contract Team and EHR Support Team.

• Designs and executes information queries utilizing database query tools. Creates analytical reports of varying complexity in conjunction with Finance Team and Claims Team utilizing Microsoft Office 365 software/financial report writing software/SQL.

• Payer contracting support, works with Claims Team on implementing contract rate changes in EHR, analyze settlements, review payer financial terms, advise on payer contract exceptions

• Works with Finance Team on compiling, completing, and submitting payer contract deliverables.

• Performs other duties as assigned. Provides ad hoc analytical support. Projects are assigned as needs arise and will be of varying degrees of complexity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education – BA degree in Finance/Business or Accounting.

Experience – 6 years' accounting/financial analysis/budgeting experience. SQL experience preferred.

 

REGULATORY:

• Minimum 21 years of age.

• DPS Level I fingerprint clearance if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).

• CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).

• Current, valid Arizona Driver's License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements, if required.

• Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
