Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Speech Therapist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech and communication functions through evaluation and treatment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Masters
Licenses/Certifications: Respective state license and clinical certification, Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC), by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), unless completing Clinical Fellowship Year.
CPR: American Heart BLS
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous experience as Speech Pathologist
Valid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract.
Other requirements/information: Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests, conduct swallowing evaluations, evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans and monitor patients' progress.
