1099 Pediatric CRNA Opportunity at South Texas Health System

Premier Anesthesia holds an exclusive contract for South Texas Health System facilities located in McAllen and Edinburg, Texas. South Texas Health System (STHS) is a regional multi-hospital system that has earned a reputation for excellence in providing quality healthcare to residents of the Rio Grande Valley. Premier s STHS team provides full anesthesia coverage for McAllen Medical Center, McAllen Heart Hospital, Edinburg Regional Medical Center, and Edinburg Children's Hospital. Caseload varies between the facilities but includes all routine services, bariatrics, pediatrics, OB, hearts, and trauma. The MDs and CRNAs at all sites function expertly as a team.
We are seeking CRNAs who function well in a supervised team model but have the clinical skills and experience to be independent when needed.  The ideal candidate possesses clinical experience with high acuity, trauma, neuro, and peds. Edinburg Children's does a mix of 70% pediatrics, 30% adults as a Level 3 Trauma Center but does not do hearts or heads. Regional experience a plus but not critical.  Recent a-line and central line experience ideal but willing to proctor the right candidate. Primary and back up call are from home. Opportunity to keep your skills up with rotations through McAllen Medical Center. All facilities use Cerner EMR including anesthesia documentation.

Annual performance bonus paid out based on quarterly key performance indicators.  6 weeks time away each year.

Our providers are able to plan for life events after and outside of work.  We are a company and a team that respects you as a professional and a person.  If you want a great career that allows you to have a life in a great area to live, give us a call.
The McAllen/Edinburg area is ranked #94 best places to live and #6 best places to retire by US News and one of the least expensive metro areas to live in across the US with cost of living 10% below the national average. The four southern-most counties in Texas form the Rio Grande Valley which in the last 50 years has transformed from an agriculture based economy to a major international trade center. McAllen is at the heart of this transition and is similar to San Antonio in 1990s. There is plenty to keep you busy from dining at hundreds of restaurants and shopping for south of the border treasures to a variety of live music, theatre and dance performances. University of Texas Rio Grande Valley opened their Medical school last year. Except for a theme park and major sports team, the McAllen-Edinburg area offers all the amenities of a large city only an hour's drive from the beach!
