We are hiring a Logistics Customer Service Representative
Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to third-party carriers
Update Transportation Management System with current shipment information.
Provide detailed instruction to various customers & associates from other shifts by phone and e-mail
Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.Assist in the recruitment efforts of company drivers and owner operators
Make freight delivery appointments, as required
Make sure all paperwork is handled timely and correctly;
Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery or arrange pickup.
Perform administrative functions necessary in the daily operations.
Work with loading facilities, carrier and customer to resolve shipment issues.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written)
Social Skills, good interpersonal/team player attributes. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and strong follow through.
Work well in a fast paced environment while under pressure, able to multi-task and stay organized.
Computer skills, TMS software (Internet tender process), OS&D system, (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
Proven ability to use basic mathematical skills.
Available to work occasional to frequent overtime.
Dedicated, proactive customer service approach to this position is a must.
College degree and industry experience are preferred.
