We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Corporate Accountant with drive and experience at a growing Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt company in the Charleston, South Carolina area. As a Corporate Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Corporate Accountant role is with a company in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt field and is located in Charleston, South Carolina. Responsibilities - Engage in various department-wide initiatives - Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management - Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests - Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP - Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors For more information please contact jerome.johnson@roberthalf.com

Requirements

- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience - Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment - MRI experience desired - Knowledge of month end closings - Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued - Must have excellent time management skills - Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines - Current and relevant ERP system experience - Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
