SAIC is seeking a motivated entry-level applied mathematician / analyst to join the National Security Customer Group (NSCG) to help define the next generation of space systems and solve some of the hardest intelligence problems facing the nation. The NSCG provides specialized engineering, analysis, and operations support to Intelligence Community customers. This position will help progress, establish, incorporate, and advance current and promising concepts to inform tactical decision-making timelines.


Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Prototype, design, and integrate niche analysis tools to support systems analysis and trade studies
  • Work in a collaborative team-focused environment to develop a technical understanding of and practical application of the analytical domain
  • Develop algorithms to conduct analyses in order to support physics-based modeling for Indications and Warning platforms and sensor systems in the defensive space domain

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Operations Research (upon employment)
  • Motivation and ability to develop simulation software on Windows and Linux/Unix platforms to solve challenging problems
  • Proficiency programming in Python
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (Note: Federal law requires US citizenship to obtain a clearance)

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency programming in Java, R, and C++
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
