SAIC is searching for energetic candidates to join a team of engineers supporting the recently organized Architecture Design and Advanced Technologies organizations within the Missile Defense Agency.
The successful candidate will perform Systems Engineering activities in support of hypersonic missile defense system concept development, system requirements engineering, and system architecture and design.
Performs Systems Engineering activities in support of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Hypersonic Defense Directorate.
This position requires a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical degree and 8+ years of related experience.
Support the development of critical system engineering and integration processes
Experience with Systems Engineering and Integration for defense weapon systems.
Demonstrated experience in the development and assessment of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, test reports, operator procedures) necessary to ensure the government's ability to support fielding, operations and sustainment activities of the weapon system.
Solid understanding and practical experience formulating technical processes (systems engineering, failure review boards, operational readiness and risk management) for large, complex programs
Solid technical writing and presentation development capability
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Active Secret security clearance
MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB, DOORS, etc.
Direct experience in any of the following disciplines to support Hypersonic Defense: Missile Guidance, Navigation, Communications, Thermal Protection Systems, Physics, Aerodynamics, Fire Control, Battle Management, Air Defense, Tracking, Propulsion, Aegis Integration, Architecture Development, and Modeling and Simulation.
