DescriptionSAIC is currently looking for candidates to join our OMDAC SWACA II team upon award. Team SAIC is pursuing the opportunity to provide operation, maintenance, and defense support of Title X communications equipment and information systems under the purview of the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate units in the Southwest Asia (SWA) Theater of operations. Positions are located in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Qatar and include a range of qualifications.
The Technical Controller will operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair strategic and tactical equipment located in the TCF building including: PROMINA, asynchronous Transfer mode (ATM) switching equipment, MUX, Pair Gain, SONET, patch panels, distribution frames, fiber optic modems, multiplexing equipment, media converters, switches/routers, servers, conditioning equipment, timing/synchronization devices and UPS systems. COMSEC keying of trunk encryption devices such as KIV-7 and KG-175. Report system, trunk and circuit status, including outages, hazardous and degraded conditions in accordance with DISA regulations. Perform trend analysis to detect equipment degradation and implement corrective measures to prevent system or circuit outages. Maintain equipment operating & PMCS logs; perform TCF inspections and implement all Telecommunications Service Orders (TSO) received from DISA or TCCC. Enters and responds to trouble tickets in Remedy AR System.
QualificationsAS or equivalent experience
Minimal years 2+ years experience with PROMINA/IDNX and operating experience in a military TCF environment; Minimum years of experience is dependent on job level
CCNA Certification preferred
Remedy, FIREBERD, PROMINA
Active Secret security clearance required
