This intermediate position is located in a highly analytical and dynamic environment and operates under the direction of the System Administrator – Payroll Operations.  This position is responsible for time and attendance and payroll support, including accurate and timely time-keeping and attendance records.  Supports general payroll operations and administration. Must be able to interpret and administer company payroll policies and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. The position is located in a fast-paced environment responsible for weekly and monthly payroll processing for over 23,000 employees located in all 50 states.


Essential Duties:

  • Create, load and balance payment or deduction files into Workday

  • Analyze and validate complex additional pay and off-cycle requests

  • Provide level 3 support for payroll-related cases

  • Support accurate time-keeping records 

  • Provide administrative support to Payroll Leadership team

  • Paycheck printing/distribution

  • Records management maintenance

  • Maintain time-keeping system user access

  • Generate and distribute various payroll reports as needed

  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers

  • Respond to all inquiries timely and accurately

  • Research and respond to wage information requests from internal and external sources

  • Review and analyze time-keeping data for accuracy

  • Provide support and training as the primary contact for specific assigned task

  • Maintain up-to-date policies/procedures for training on job duties



  • Manage work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently

  • Solve problems by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to create options that will achieve desired outcomes

  • Build customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding expectations while securing commitment and trust


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 years of experience in payroll, HR, or accounting

  • Analytical and interpretive skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office

  • Accountable and confidential



  • FPC or CPP

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish

  • Workday and/or Workforce software experience

Special Requirements:

  • Willing to work all Mondays including holidays.  Willing to work weekends and evenings as needed. Incumbent must be able to work under time constraints ensure deadlines are met.  Must be able to prioritize, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
