POSITION SUMMARY (includes, but is not limited to):
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure. Provide services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
The Technologist remains calm in crisis and emergency situations, and directs staff members effectively and appropriately. The Technologist maintains professional and effective working relationships with all members of the Health Care Team.
Utilizing advanced digital technology and an accomplished medical staff, Southern Hills Hospital boasts 252 beds and provides the communities of southwest Las Vegas with emergency and pediatric emergency services, behavioral health inpatient and outpatient programs for ages 55 and older, an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, OB-GYN and diagnostic imaging and surgical services. - High School Diploma or equivalent degree
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology School
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- Registry eligible within 90 days
- Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support
- Two years or more clinical experience in Radiography preferred
