Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate degree in a STEM field
  • 15+ years of experience relevant to military operations and associated technologies within one of the following warfare areas: All-source Intelligence; Space; Strike; Integrated Air and Missile Defense; or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
  • Proficiency in operational and technical analysis of U.S. and adversary CONOPS; Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures; and technical capabilities with ability to conduct research and analysis to reach defensible conclusions using incomplete information, to develop well-written analytic products to inform decision making, and to present analytic results orally
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills; able to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required; eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) desired

Desired

  • Experience applying intelligence data on near-peer adversary capabilities to support operational planning, analysis, or training
  • Experience working on headquarters staff within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, or the Services
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in one or more of the following high priority technology areas: Directed energy; hypersonics; cyberspace technologies; fully networked command, control, communications technologies; autonomous systems


Responsibilities

SPA seeks a passionate and dedicated military professional with a demonstrated record of success in dynamic environments to support a mature but growing project. The individual will work as part of a cross-functional, high-performance team conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform decision makers at the highest levels of the government, including the Secretary of Defense, Congress, and the White House. This position will address the development and ongoing improvement of technology road-maps and conduct detailed operational assessments to identify requirements for new investments in military technologies. A successful candidate will demonstrate expertise and fluency in priority military operations as well as the underlying or enabling technology portfolios. Successful candidates will quickly be rewarded with leadership opportunities and direct engagement with external clients and stakeholders.
