Provides nursing care within the philosophy, objectives and policies of the facility.
Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

QualificationsEDUCATION: Required: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Preferred: Enrolled in a bachelors of nursing program
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION: Required: Current Virginia nursing license or current multi-state RN license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
Current certification as an American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider.
Required: Current certification as an American Heart Association ACLS Healthcare Provider.
CPI within 60 days of hire
EXPERIENCE: Required: 2 years of acute care experience is required. The Chief Nursing Officer may review and approve an exception to this specific requirement based on other qualifications, credentials, or type of experience.
Recent work experience in a minimum of 2 competency categories
Required: Ability to successfully pass the required Virginia State Background check in order to float to the Behavioral Health Unit
