DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Value Stream Simplification (VSS) is an analytical methodology built on the 80/20 principle that provides a deep understanding of what areas of the business drive the most value for our shareholders, and conversely what areas drive complexity and distractions that create waste. This understanding helps develop business specific strategies by identifying our priority markets and customers and creating intense focus on delivering superior product solutions to meet their needs. VSS helps us deliver sustainable, profitable growth by aligning our human and financial capital on these priorities, while minimizing and optimizing the complexity that creates waste. VSS is integral to our business model and our culture.
To accelerate deployment of VSS across each of the four business groups, we are building out a lean, global team of VSS experts. This is a great opportunity to join us as a regional Value Stream Simplification Expert for EMEA region. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the EMEA Executive Director VSS, independently partner with business line VP/GMs on VSS initiation, execution and reporting to build a culture of business performance and continuous improvement through the application of Value Stream Simplification
  • Structure VSS analysis and work with business line teams to develop and execute action plans and provide guidance in order to understand prioritization of markets, customers, and products for profitable, sustained growth
  • Own regional deployment of VSS programs along with Regional VSS leader and drive VSS discipline, process, and training throughout business lines within the region
  • Help establish Program Management Office to drive standardization and execution of strategic change initiatives across Tenneco, including business case development, pipeline reporting and status tracking
  • Partner with business line leaders to develop and execute operational strategic plans and business cases for sourcing, supply chain and manufacturing in support of established global product strategies and roadmaps
  • Prepare teams for executive reviews and continue to monitor progress through VSS
  • Support training for regional teams in various functions
  • May need to take on ad hoc projects in commercial, operations and supply chain
  • Travel 5-25% domestic and international


REQUIREMENTS:

What you bring to the table

  • Min. 5-7 years of experience in General Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Management or Finance
  • Experience in strategy, transformation or corporate development preferred
  • Experience with 80/20 and/or continuous improvement tools including Lean, Six Sigma, etc
  • Demonstrable project management experience leading cross functional teams
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills; understanding of operations and supply chain
  • Min. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance or Business; Masters degree preferred
  • Advanced skills with MS Office, comfortable with analytics and hypothesis based problem solving
  • Fluent in English
  • Automotive, manufacturing or B2B experience preferred
