At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting. This includes a full-line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products. This position is responsible for directing manufacturing operations with responsibility for quality, safety, and productivity. Has direct accountability for profit and loss statement. Ensure that all Terumo Corporation assets assigned to Terumo Cardiovascular facilities are properly utilized to meet the corporate strategies, and the approved Terumo Cardiovascular business plan. This is accomplished through the use and administration of corporate policies, quality policies, government regulations, and direct communication with all levels within the corporation and our customers. Maximized profits, morale, and quality of Terumo Cardiovascular products, and efficient operations are the expected results.
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. 2. Ensure a safe working environment for Associates. Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate Associate awareness and education programs to help prevent illness and injury at work and to meet site-specific safety, health, and environmental needs. 3. Develop strategies and goals for manufacturing operations; establish and maintain systems to judge and monitor production results as to quality, yield, and productivity. 4. Monitor operations and implement corrective action where required. 5. Interface with community, industrial, and government associations as required. 6. Maximize profitability and productivity. 7. Ensure the protection of physical assets. 8. Support, review, and direct activities to ensure product quality. 9. Develop tactical plans to achieve business plan objectives when change occurs. 10. Establish and maintain efficient communication and coordination of projects involving cost reduction, productivity, and quality issues. 11. Develop and improve customer communications. 12. Utilizes the systems and processes in place to attract, develop, engage, train and retain talented Associates; creating a work environment where Associates can realize their full potential, thus allowing the organization to meet business needs. 13. Perform other duties as assigned.
