Our office in Diamond Bar is seeking a full-time Soils Technician to perform field, lab, and operational duties for the Geological and Geotechnical Engineering group. The ideal candidate will have experience in grading observations and compaction testing, soil classification, percolation testing, pile/tieback/soil nail construction observations and vibration monitoring. Duties include but are not limited to field construction quality assurance activities, basic laboratory testing, and preparation of daily field reports for submittal to engineers.
- Field construction quality assurance activities
- Preparation of daily field reports for submittal to engineers
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Nuclear gauge certification
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Data entry and basic computer and math skills
- Adequate oral communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability/willingness to travel within the southwest
- Excellent driving history
- Must be able to work outdoors under varying weather conditions, travel by foot over rough terrain, and lift at least 40 pounds
