Fiscal management/Statewide Fiscal Systems
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend and holiday hours. Hours may change based on business needs and may vary in accordance with division policies for Work Alternative Schedules (WALT).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
User Access & Customer Service: Reviews and processes Security Requests for access to SFS (Production and Non-Production) applications. User access processing and customer service duties include, but are not limited to:
Process Role Based Access Control (RBAC) security requests submitted through appropriate channels (ServiceNow and Lotus Notes/IBM Notes ticketing systems, email, and help desk phone line) within Service Level Agreement (SLA) time frames.
Ensure security requests are authorized properly and meet security requirements such as separation of duties (SOD).
Provide security guidance to security coordinators and end users, as appropriate.
Conduct quality checks (QC) on requested security changes.
System Maintenance & Support: Participate in the development, maintenance and support of SFS application security. System support duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide security guidance in regards to SFS Role Based Access Controls (RBAC)
Identify problems and propose innovative solutions.
Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and weekend maintenance testing and validation.
Security Training: Train SFS users and promote information security awareness. Training duties include, but are not limited to:
Train agency security coordinators how to submit SFS role based access control (RBAC) security changes (adding, removing, deleting)
Develop SFS information security training for CPA internal teams and agency security coordinators
Communicate security processes and procedures
Communicate via methods such as Help Line, Email, and verbal
Provide one-on-one explanations to internal and external staff and management
Projects: Assists with various agency, division and team projects to provide security guidance and support. Project duties include, but are not limited to:
Participate in project meetings or correspondence
Review documentation for security impacts
Complete project work plan tasks
Provide project status updates to management
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience with systems security theory and practice, or use of application security features in large financials systems.
Three (3) years of experience communicating directly with customers or end users to assist with security access or administration.
**Experience performing security administration using PeopleSoft version 8.8 (or above).
Experience working with any of the following: USAS, USPS, CAPPS and/or Business Objects.
Experience working with Texas state government processes, policies and procedures.
Experience creating training curricula, conducting training classes and evaluating training classes or programs.
One (1) additional year of experience in systems security theory and practice, or use of application security features in large financials systems may substitute for thirty semester hours of educational requirement with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
